Bitwise continues to strengthen its leadership in the digital asset space by launching a series of ETPs in Europe's leading financial center.
On April 16, 2025, digital asset manager Bitwise officially announced the listing of four exchange-traded products (ETPs) on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), marking a major step forward in its European expansion strategy and opening up preferential access to institutional investors in the United Kingdom.
This event not only reflects Bitwise's long-term commitment to developing the digital asset ecosystem, but also reaffirms London's central role in connecting professional investors with modern and transparent investment tools.
“I am delighted to see Bitwise’s products listed on the LSE – one of Europe’s most prestigious exchanges,” said Bradley Duke, Head of Bitwise Europe. “Cryptocurrencies are becoming an integral part of institutional investors’ portfolios, and we are here to provide them with the highest standard of tools.”
The four products launched include:
- Bitwise Core Bitcoin ETP (BTC1) – a strategic solution for long-term investors looking for low-cost exposure to Bitcoin.
- Bitwise Physical Bitcoin ETP (BTCE) – a highly liquid product suitable for short- to medium-term traders.
- Bitwise Physical Ethereum ETP (ZETH) – providing direct exposure to Ethereum, secured by cold storage assets.
- Bitwise Ethereum Staking ETP (ET32) – integrates staking features, allowing investors to earn rewards while tracking performance based on a benchmark.
These ETPs are designed to be structured similarly to traditional trading commodities, with the underlying assets stored in institutional-grade cold storage and supervised by an independent custodian, ensuring maximum security and minimizing risks for investors.
The listing on the LSE comes shortly after Bitwise’s acquisition of ETC Group in 2024 – a strategic move to accelerate product innovation and expand distribution across major European financial markets.
Bitwise’s products are traded on a strictly regulated exchange and can be easily integrated into standard investment portfolios, eliminating technical barriers such as crypto wallets, while facilitating financial institutions to access the crypto market in a professional, safe and efficient manner.
By establishing London as the new trading hub, Bitwise is gradually affirming its pioneering role in providing standardized, transparent and suitable cryptocurrency investment solutions for the needs of a new generation of global investors.
